Why Choose Lateflint
Learning That Works the Way You Need It To
Adults over 40 have seen enough sales presentations. Lateflint is built around a different premise — knowledge that belongs to you, not to whoever sold it.

What Sets Our Programmes Apart
No Commission, No Referrals
We do not refer participants to financial product providers and receive no commissions. Fee income from programmes is the only revenue we earn — full stop.
Maximum 12 per Cohort
Every cohort is capped. Questions get real answers, not deferred to "we'll cover that later." The size is chosen so a facilitator can genuinely track where each participant is.
Malaysian Market Context
Case studies use Bursa Malaysia reports, locally available instruments, and EPF-relevant concepts. Not a curriculum imported from another market.
Materials You Keep
Printed readers, glossary booklets, and reflection workbooks are included and yours to keep. The reference materials sit on a shelf and remain useful long after the programme ends.
Evenings and Weekend Mornings
Sessions are scheduled around working adults. Weekday evenings and Saturday mornings — not mid-week afternoons that only suit people with flexible employment arrangements.
Built from Public Documents
Every case study is drawn from publicly available annual reports, fund prospectuses, and regulatory filings. Participants learn to navigate the same documents they can access independently.
Expertise
People Who Have Worked in the Industry — Then Left It
Our facilitators bring backgrounds in unit trust distribution, equity research, and adult education. Crucially, they no longer work in product-facing roles — which means the perspective they bring is genuinely independent of any commercial interest in what you buy or hold.
- Over 25 combined years of financial sector experience
- Backgrounds in equity research, distribution, and adult education
- No current product affiliations
Curriculum Reviewed Each Cohort
Readers and case studies are updated before each new cohort to reflect any changes in locally relevant regulations or market structure. What you receive is current, not archived.
The Atlas Method
Each concept gets its own chart — plain-language legend, clear cross-references, a glossary side-pocket. The structure is navigational rather than linear, so participants can revisit specific concepts without losing their place in the broader map.
Process
A Method Designed Around the Way Adults Actually Learn
We do not lecture at participants. We read together, discuss, and let questions direct the session. Peer learning consistently produces better retention than passive instruction — especially for adults who are returning to structured study after a long break.
- Curated reading materials, not slide decks
- Discussion-led sessions with real questions
- Weekly pace matched to participant capacity
Participant Experience
Straightforward Communication Before and After
Before joining, we'll spend time understanding what you are looking for and help you decide whether any of our programmes makes sense. After each cohort, participants receive feedback on their reflection workbook and a summary of themes that emerged in the group discussion.
- Pre-enrolment conversation with no commitment required
- Post-programme written feedback on reflection workbook
- Access to facilitators for questions during the programme
Office Hours Available
Enrolled participants can book a 20-minute one-on-one slot with a facilitator during the programme to work through specific concepts or readings that didn't land in the group session. No charge, included in programme fee.
Transparent, All-Inclusive Pricing
Programme fees include all printed materials, discussion notes, and office hour access. There are no add-ons, no follow-up upsells, and no introductions to affiliated services baked into the experience.
Value
The Real Cost of Not Understanding What You Hold
The cost of a programme is fixed and visible upfront. The cost of working through statements you can't read or making decisions without the conceptual vocabulary to evaluate them is harder to quantify. Most participants who have been through a cohort describe the programme fee as the simplest part of the decision to join.
- Fees from RM 540 to RM 2,790 depending on programme
- All materials included — no extras billed later
- No ongoing subscription required after completion

What Only We Offer
Features Specific to Lateflint
The Atlas Format
Each concept is presented as a self-contained chart with its own legend and cross-references — a navigational structure rather than a linear sequence. Participants build a reference map they can return to independently.
In-Card Glossary Pockets
Every concept card includes a glossary side-pocket — a short definitions panel that can be checked without leaving the page. No need to hold multiple documents open simultaneously.
Restful Chart Palette
All charts and tables in our materials use high-contrast, readable axes and a calm colour scheme — designed for extended reading comfort, not for visual impact in a sales presentation.
Personal Reflection Workbook
The Considered Allocator Programme includes a structured workbook that participants complete over the 12 weeks. It records their own thinking — not answers to questions we set, but the questions they now know to ask themselves.
